If there's a way to improve on perfection, it's to make it a tiny bit smaller. Proof, as if it were needed, comes in the form of this superb little Mini X Gyro RC Heli, the baby brother of our hot-cakes-popular Gyro Flyer. Like the Gyro Flyer, it's a 3.5 channel chopper with that amazing Gyro stabilisation feature that makes it such a joy to fly. It's also got a nice sturdy, metal body so that if you carelessly careen into a nearby pot plant the damage won't be too severe. As if we would do such a thing (outtakes link). As well as all that super-dooper stuff going for it, there are a couple of neat distinctions between this and the standard size Gyro. For one, the controller features a sleek, Knightrider-style scrolling light that reacts to how much pressure you put on the left-hand joystick. For another, it's got snazzy multicoloured lights on the side of the fuselage to make you the prettiest darn aviator that you can be. Dazzling stuff. From a practical point of view, you can squeeze 7 minutes of flight time from a full charge. That charge comes from simply plugging the heli into the controller (there's a lead), and waiting while the 6 AA batteries do the hard work. In no time, you'll be charging around the skies and upsetting any colleagues or pets that are particularly good at the high-jump. This pint-sized beauty is everything you could want from an indoor heli, and small enough to use anywhere.
