The Tantrix Extreme is based on the original Tantrix, which won 'Puzzle of the Year 2000' in Australia and 'Best New Game' at the Paris Toy Fair. The Tantrix is a popular gift for adults, children and teenagers and is totally addictive in a positive way. The aim of the game is to make ever increasing loops of different shapes from the tiles that are provided. It is a 10 puzzle set of which the first 8 puzzles involve building loops of various shapes starting with just 3 tiles. Each new tile picked up leads to a different, more challenging puzzle. In each case, you first need to work out what colour you can make a loop with. This extra twist makes these puzzles even more fiendish than the related Tantrix Discovery Puzzle. Finally, two new 'pyramid' puzzles with all ten tiles provide an even bigger challenge! The puzzle comes in a pine stand which is perfect for the coffee table and we defy any visitor not to be curious enough to pick it up and play!
