The bass on these is fantatic, and we're pretty sure it has everything to do with the spring that connects the two speakers together.The design of the speaker is simple enough - 2 speakers connected together and an input to plug in your MP3 player (or walkman if you're in a retro mood). Twist the speakers anti-clockwise though and the spring will push them apart, leaving a concertina like chamber between the two speakers. This is where the magic happens - suddenly your tunes go from sounding just ok to wow, that's quite impressive considering its size - I wonder if it's the spring that makes the difference?As travel speakers go you would be hard pushed to find any that match the sound quality of the Spring Speaker.
